Hi, I'm Jessie.

My passion is empowering nursing students and new nurses to feel confident and prepared for their journey of becoming a great nurse.

I'm a labor and delivery nurse and nurse leader who empowers nursing students and new nurses to become great, confident nurses so you can create and live a life you love. Through my experiences both personal and professional I have learned what it takes to succeed in school, get the dream job and live a fulfilling life as a nurse- and I want to help you achieve your goals, too.

JOD (Jessie On Delivery) was started because nursing students were reaching out to me through social media for help. Many were really struggling with the pressures of nursing school, getting a job, test anxiety and interviewing, just to name a few. These nurses needed a community of support so they would know they weren’t alone, and thus JOD was born!

My focus is serving the nursing student and new nurse populations so they feel prepared to lead the life they have been dreaming about. My critical thinking labor and delivery scenario quizzes, interview skills and study techniques are helping so many new nurses and nursing students around the world to succeed in school and land their first nursing job.

From getting into school, studying, graduating & interviewing for their first job to being the new nurse on the unit, building relationships, becoming an expert in their field and more… I have your back.

I want you to know that you’re not alone- your fears and struggles are real and are shared by so many others. I’ve been there, and I want my past and current experiences to benefit you and get you through what may be one of the most stressful times of your life. Because I know how great it is once you get through it! I want to help set you up for the life you have dreamed of… becoming a great nurse.

 

Why I'm An Expert

You might call me a high achieving multitasker! I'm an experienced member of a nurse management team at a prestigious hospital in NYC, a single mom, and I run my own business on the side.

It wasn't easy getting here: I put myself through an intense 7 day a week accelerated nursing school program. I gave birth midway through nursing school. Believe it or not, I successfully balanced nursing school, motherhood, working in a night club, and still graduated with honors and received the school’s highest award!

I've been a maternal child health nurse for over 5 years. I quickly moved from staff nurse to a member of the management team after being in a new institution for just 15 months. I've been proud to work alongside world renowned surgeons. I am a preceptor mentor and leader to new nurses.

I love to teach nurses and nursing students what works so you don’t have to waste time trying to figure it out yourself! Let’s do this… together.
